From an extensive background in the commodities market, David Calvert-Jones has made a successful leap into the entertainment industry. As founder and chairman of EveryWhere Studios in Los Angeles, Calvert-Jones brings an astute financial and strategic mind to his operation.
Specializing in family-friendly content, his company independently produces television movies, series, and feature films for a number of networks, including NBCUniversal, Lifetime, and the Hallmark Channel. Calvert-Jones is also partner of Larrikin Entertainment, which specializes in feature film production.
Moving from Melbourne, Australia to the United States over 10 years ago, Calvert-Jones’ desire to work in the entertainment industry was inspired by his extensive business travel experience. As the head of an Australian private equity firm, he logged thousands of travel miles by helicopter. Fascinated by the experience and leveraging his keen ability to network, he took a leap of faith and decided to make a career change. He started running Helinet Aviation, the largest helicopter and production services company in North America. Under his direction, the company underwent a complete transition and restructure.
Recognizing the opportunity to grow a successful business in this niche, he started his own full-service global aerial production company, Helifilms USA, in 2007. The company provides aerial production services to television and film production companies as well as filming services for major world events.
Calvert-Jones is a graduate from the agribusiness management program at Marcus Oldham College in Australia. He is active in both business and philanthropic activities worldwide, and is a shareholder on a number of entities in Australia. In his free time, he enjoys golfing and horses. He lives in Los Angeles with his wife Karina, children Jasmin and Amber, and their dog Indie.
